Join the cleanup and have fun!
Hundreds of Scituate individuals, couples, co-workers, neighbors, friends, and families come together on Ship Shape Day and rid the town’s streets, playing fields, playgrounds, beaches, marshes, and parks of tons of trash – from cigarette butts to discarded tires.
Scituate FACTS and South Shore Peer Recovery will be meeting at the Widows Walk parking lot at 9am to help clean-up the Driftway. Join us, all are welcome! Please email scituatefacts@gmail.com to sign-up. Community Service Forms will be provided for high school students!
It’s become a tradition of ours to shine a light on how much litter comes from drug and alcohol use by separating it out from other trash at the Driftway.
We encourage you to take part in this weekend-long event even if you’re unable to join us on Saturday morning! Scituate Town Hall will be handing out clean-up supplies from 8am-1pm on Saturday, May 4th, and clean-up can take place anytime during the weekend. Trash pick-up will be early Monday morning. For more info visit the official Ship Shape Day website.
The Scituate Beautification Commission organizes this weekend event with the help of the Department of Public works and the Scituate Police Department.
