POSTPONED DUE TO ILLNESS. KICKOFF MEETING WILL NOW BE LATER IN JULY. CONTACT ANNMARIE GALVIN WITH QUESTIONS.
Join us at Scituate FACTS HQ for the Kickoff of FACTS Camp! In recent years, we've taken advantage of young people's summer availability to offer community service hours and meaningful project work that builds resumes for high school and college students.
On Tuesday, July 9th, we'll meet from 10 am-12 pm to talk more about the FACTS mission, discuss the continuation of this student-led project, and assign tasks/roles.
While the Kickoff meeting is July 9th, this will be an ongoing project with a flexible commitment over the following weeks/months (set your own hours around team meetings and take on as many or few duties as your student schedule allows).
This is an excellent opportunity for local students to gain skills in:
- Project Management
- Community Engagement
- Data Analysis
- Communication
- And More!
If you're a high school or college student eager to earn experience and make a difference in your community, the first step is to fill out our volunteer form here. Once you've done that, we'll contact you with more details about the project and the Kickoff event.
If you have any questions, please email Annmarie Galvin at scituatefacts@gmail.com.
P.S. We'll also have free snacks and T-shirts for all participants at Kickoff. We can't wait to see you on July 9th!
